Supplement your income - Where to sell online
Welcome back!

Thinking about selling your extra or no longer needed items online? Where you do it can make a big difference in your success. Check the below list, and choose the right place for your goods!
- Sell your used books on Half.com. Half.com is geared specifically towards books, music and movies. Think, how many books do you have just lying around, or sitting on a shelf collecting dust? Why not sell them on half.com, and have a little extra money in your pocket instead.
- Are you crafty? Check out Etsy.com. Etsy.com is the place to buy and sell homemade items online. Everything from candles, clothing, quilts - if you can make it, you can sell it on Etsy.
- Sell practically anything on Craigslist! - Craigslist is great, especially if you want to avoid the sometimes high fees incurred on eBay. The most important thing here, because you will in most cases selling to locals, is to ensure you meet in safe location, such as your neighborhood Starbucks.
- eBay - Still the largest online auction site, eBay is safe and easy to use. eBay has a large user base which will help to get you maximum exposure for unique items. However, I recommend Craigslist for physically larger merchandise, as shipping can be very expensive and easy to underestimate. Also, with the latest fee increases, eBay is becoming one of the more expensive choices for selling online.
- Yard/garage sale - Okay, this one is not online - but is a tried a true selling tool - see this post for my tips on how to make your yard sale a sure-fire success!
