Spent The Afternoon At The Ol’ Library

Yesterday was a fun and frugal day, and really proved to me that it doesn’t have to be expensive to keep kids entertained. Well, not for their aunt at least. I took my darling niece and nephew for a walk to our local library and we spent the afternoon choosing books to read, as well as just sitting around the library enjoying a few chapters of literature. Okay, there was a little internet surfing, too.

I thought the kids might find the library a little boring (they are usually a tad on the hyper side) but both of them were really into their novels and behaved like little angels (maybe because Mom wasn’t around). Also, we were lucky enough to notice that the same library is hosting a free magic show next weekend, so as a reward for their excellent behavior, I will take them to it. I figure my sister might enjoy a few hours of quiet time without them around.
