Keeping The Grocery Bill Low
Welcome back!

I’ve been really proud of how much I’ve manage to trim down our grocery bill over the last few months, and thought I’d share how I personally keep ours low!
Whole Wheat Pasta - We eat an abundance of pasta around here - all different kinds and variations, as long as its wholewheat. I like to serve it with a red sauce, throw in a few vegetables or beans, say “no thanks” to the meat and presto - an easy, cheap and delicious meal.
Cereal is expensive! - Instead of eating cereal I opt for oatmeal in the mornings, as it’s much, much cheaper and with a little milk poured on top, just as satisfying.
Buying snacks - A lot of frugalites will tell you not to buy snacks, but I do buy a package or two from the grocer, so that they’re on hand and we’re not tempted to run down to the much more expensive convenience store for a treat!
Home-made soup and buns - Once a week I’ll make a huge pot of soup and some fresh, home made buns - everyone loves it and the soup is good for at least a few easy and fast lunches throughout the week.
Well, those are some of the foods I buy to help save on groceries. If you have any tips of your own, feel free to share!
