Our frugal romantic picnic
Welcome back!

As many of you might know, I am currently doing the 30 day eat at home challenge, which I am pleased to say so far has been a success. However, this weekend I wanted to do something special with my darling boyfriend, and because we can’t go out for a nice dinner, we thought of a picnic, and it turned out to be the best of ideas.
Everything we needed was on hand in the house already, so I whipped up some assorted sandwiches (tuna and ham), packed cut up veggies, a few drinks, threw in a blanket and we headed out to Deep Cove, in close by North Vancouver.
The weather was perfect - not too hot, but not cold either. There was the perfect amount of breeze going by, and we foundĀ a great spot on the grass overlooking the water. It was a great opportunity just to be with each other and discuss the various on-goings of our lives. I love to unwind on Sundays.
After the delicious eating, we took a lovely walk by the water and enjoyed the sights of Deep Cove, a place we rarely get out to. All in all, it was an relaxing, sweet time and we didn’t spend any money!
