Some Disagreements With eBay
Welcome back!
This is precisely why it was a bad move to remove the seller’s ability to leave their buyers negative feedback. Buyers now get to be slow paying, or not pay at all, with no recourse but an unpaid item strike - which they need several of to suffer any consequences from eBay.
It used to be, someone would win one of my auctions and almost always pay immediately, or within 24 hours. Now it seems the buyer will take their sweet time, as they know there are no consequences. I had someone win an auction of mine days ago - this person has thousands of good feedback, and they have still not paid. No communication, either.
So I get to do what? Wait and hope that they decide to pay. It wouldn’t be so bad, but it happens all the time now. Feedback is what kept people in line, and while I see eBay’s reasoning for making it one sided, I do not think the positives outweigh the negatives with this choice. Oh well, nothing I can do … aside from ranting on my blog.
