Cutting Out Our Cellphones To Save
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I consistently look over our bills and bank statements searching for ways to trim them down even further. The cellphones have been a debate a few times, but due to cancellation penalties in the contracts with our provider, we always opted to keep them for a little while longer.
Well, not anymore! Why should two people pay wireless bills when a singular land line would do? I mean, cellphones have only been a mainstream “must have” for what? Ten years now? People lived without them for years upon years before then. Sure, they are often time convenient tools, but frankly I’d rather trade the convenience for having one less bill on my roster.
So, after our contracts are up - mine at the end of this month, his in December - we will be cellphone free, and back to relying on a land line for our calling needs. In case of emergency, we’ll keep our little pay as you go phone (which costs virtually nothing) in the car, but other than that - bye bye cellular bills!

Interesting…
I do the complete opposite!
I cancelled my land line, and only have my cellhpone, cuz that’s the one I use all the time anyways!
@Leo - That’s certainly another way to go, basically just getting down to one phone is the main thing.
