Getting Back To Basics
Welcome back!

While it’s perfectly normal to get caught up in all the materialization of our fast paced busy world once in awhile, this (for me at least) tends to lead to bills piling up and forgetting to keep on top of the finances. Well, in order to save money and reprioritize my life, every once in awhile I like to make a concentrated effort to take a step back from my fast paced life style and truly “get back to basics”. This helps me to unwind, relax and save money.
I guess you could say that there are a few ways that folks could choose to “get back to basics”. One way could be to simple prepare meals at home (from scratch if time allows), or work outside in the garden to home grow veggies. Personally, I like to take a weekend and head off into the country where my family can stay with some friends on their farm. We help out by cutting wood, assisting in the barn, and just generally lending a hand wherever necessary (and there’s always work to do on a farm!) It really makes us feel good and we always leave with a greater appreciation of the conveniences that many of us take for granted in life. I recommend that anybody try the same, as it truly is a great way to “get back to basics”.
