What better way to cut down on costs than to make do with what we already have. Many things that might be thrown away can be reused, and when this happens, not only do we save money, but we help our planet.

 

  • Dryer sheets can be cut in half and reused 4-6 times.1_daffodil3.jpg
  • Ziploc bags can be washed after use and used again and again.
  • Save water by using bath towels several times before putting in the laundry.
  • Melt down candle ends to make new candles with.
  • Surprisingly, Swiffer dusters can be cleaned in the washing machine and re-used over and over.
  • Empty coffee cans are great for draining grease into.
  • Plastic grocery bags make excellent wastebasket liners.
  • Recycle old clothing that is not fit for charity into rags for cleaning.
  • Cloth napkins can be used again and again instead of paper towels.
