#5 Frugal tip of the day

I have to admit - I’m a little proud of myself for keeping up with the frugal tips of the day. When starting them, I was a little worried that they would be something I’d start and wouldn’t go very far with - but here we are, already on number five! While the tips may not be quite “daily”, they are consistently being posted.

So, here is today’s: Keep your freezer full. Huh? I’m not saying stock it with a bunch of frozen convenience food that costs an arm and a leg, even some bags of home-made ice will do. Why? Because a full freezer takes less energy to keep cold than an empty one. Less energy = smaller electric bill, and all the small savings really do add up.
