The Frugal Spa Is My Favorite Spa
Welcome back!

First of all, let me apologize for the lack of posts there’s been around here lately. I have been just busy, busy, busy with work (which I am glad to have, with so many suffering from unemployment right now), and had little time to muse about my frugal ways. Don’t worry though, I haven’t fallen off the frugal bandwagon, and hopefully will now have some more time to post about my frugal lifestyle.
One thing I am noticing as of late is that most of my friends are making cuts to to what they are willing to spend money on. People that would once spend a weekend shopping at the mall, are now more than willing to spend that time at home reading a book. In fact, a group of my friends used to hit the spa once a month or so. You know, a manicure or pedicure party, but as the numbers of ladies who were willing and able to pay for such a service dwindled, those parties no longer happen. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t pamper ourselves.
One thing I like to do is have my nieces come for a “spa sleepover”. We give each other “lavish” manicures (the tools are remarkable cheap from a place like Walmart), just like the spa would, only at a mere fraction of the cost. There are lots of laughs, and in the end we come out with gorgeous looking nails, and feeling pampered. My nieces love it and so do I, and it doesn’t come even close to breaking the bank!
